One of the region's best-known broadcasters - Paul Gough - has launched his own company in a bid to help businesses boost their Marketing and Public Relations opportunites.

"Goffy" became one of the most popular personalities in the region with his unique style on the region's biggest radio stations - Century Radio, Metro Radio and TFM.

Paul is equally at home fronting PR events as he is behind the mic, and so he should . . . he’s been doing it for 30 years!

But Paul's biggest achievement was his skill in marketing himself, effectively creating the "Goffy" brand.

While hosting ‘GOFFY IN THE MORNING’ for Century Radio, Paul had the pleasure of interviewing and working alongside some of the biggest names in showbiz and sport - including Ant and Dec, Alan Shearer, Simon Cowell, Lionel Richie and the incomparable Paul "Gazza" Gascoigne.

These celebrities came to the studios as strangers and left as friends, which is a testament to Goffy's warm and professional approach to the Media, Public Relations and Marketing business.

And those same celebrities that Goffy has been involved with are now valuable business contacts. For example, the relationship Goffy built up with Gazza over the years lead to Paul taking him on a media tour to promote his best-selling biographies.

Paul also successfully marketed his wind-Up CDs, containing some memorable moments from his radio shows, which actually topped the North East music charts!

Goffy’s face appeared on coach advertisements from Berwick-on-Tweed to Scarborough - his face is literally on the back of a bus!

As well as regularly appearing in the newspapers and on television, companies have seen the benefit of using the "Goffy" face in Press and TV ads as it is instantly recognisable throughout the northern region.
