Goffy Media - Project - Alan Shearer

Goffy has enjoyed a long relationship with Alan Shearer going back many years to his time at Century and Metro radio.

Alan's first break in football was at Wallsend Boys Club, which produced many great footballers from the North East, including Peter Beardsley, Steve Bruce, Michael Carrick, Robbie Elliott and Lee Clark. It was therefore nice to be asked by Alan to host his special fundraiser as a thank you to this club for helping him along the way.

Pictured right is Goffy chatting on stage to Alan and his pal, former Newcastle and England player Rob Lee, Alan's special guest at this event.

The evening was a fundraising dinner, which raised thousands of pounds for Wallsend Boys Club.

On the left you can see how this event was a sell-out, with almost a thousand people attending.

Goffy's roll was to chat to these two football greats, asking about their careers and encouraging them to reveal some of their funniest moments involved with playing football at the highest level.

Goffy also hosted a Question & Answer session, giving their fans the chance to ask the pair about particular memories and previously unsolved queries.

The evening was rounded off with Goffy acting as Auctioneer, selling a whole host of very special money-can't-buy items provided by Alan and his many friends in the game.

The pre and post event coverage in the Media was all handled by Goffy Media - this demonstrates how by getting us involved we can provide a full one-stop-shop service.

Alan posted a number of lovely Tweets thanking Goffy for making the evening such a huge success, as well as ensuring it all ran smoothly on the night.

@alanshearer A massive thanks to @GoffyMedia for making my special night in aid
of @WallsendBoysFC such a huge success last night.

Goffy's vast experience as a broadcaster makes him an ideal choice for hosting events like these.

As well as being there to interview guests on the night, he can draw on his huge list of contacts to come up with a suitable celebrity for your event if you don't already have one in mind.

Goffy Media can also help obtain items for a Charity Auction, and we can obviously provide a full PA system for such events.

And as many organisations have discovered, our advance promotion of the event can help ensure it will be a success.
